The ‘Republic of CHAC’ was formed this morning as torrential rains remove the last land connection to Australia

The creek running on the north-south border of the newly formed ‘Republic of CHAC’ has broken its banks, bringing the return of the infamous and virtually impenetrable “CHAC Lake”.

With the College grounds once again having become an island, the CHAC executives have finally made the decision to secede. They have contacted the federal government of their intention along with the Declaration of Independence.

The Wetlands Post can report that Canberra officials are discussing the declaration of the new country, with some sources saying a peaceful process of independence is not possible and the Australian Defence Force will soon be clashing with the CHAC Militia. The Defence minister is yet to release a statement.

Presidential elections will be held shortly to determine the new head of state, with the Principal and senior leadership team forming a caretaker government.

The “Republic of CHAC” has already been officially recognised by many very big and important countries, including Tuvalu, the Maldives, and Monaco.

The Australian Prime Minister declined our request for comment.
