Sudden Migration of Penguins to Australia Coincides with College Classrooms Experiencing Sub-Zero Temperatures
Recently Students are finding it Impossible to focus on Lessons due to Unbearably Cold Temperatures in Classrooms.
Every hot Australian summer, CHAC classes have the opportunity to use air conditioning. Recently, this has taken an unproductive turn for the worse. Ever since January of 2025, the air-con units have been cranked down to ‘near freezing’ temperatures, leading to loss of response and learning in students. Many have wondered what the College will do to combat this educational barrier.
Many students are trying immensely to focus on their classwork, but are finding it impossible to. In an interview with a Year 7 student, who wishes to remain anonymous, they complained, “I was trying to do my Maths work, but my fingers were numb. Even my best friend, who is never cold, just sat there with his eyes frozen”. Shocking new reports from experts say that students’ focus is at an all-time low, with only 15% managing to fully complete their work and 42% only being able to do half. That means 43% of students are not doing any work at all. It is frankly unacceptable. A statement from a parent reads, “I just want my child to be getting his full education. It’s only his first year at CHAC, and it’s not looking promising”. With the College’s Principal and Deputy Principal declining interviews daily, no official information on a plan of action has been provided.
